Pupil Leadership
Pupil leadership is an important part of school life at Woodsetts and sits at the heart of our Personal Development offer. We believe that children learn best when they feel a sense of belonging, responsibility and pride in their school community. By taking on leadership roles, pupils develop confidence, communication skills, teamwork and the understanding that their voice can create positive change.
Our pupil leadership opportunities include roles such as School Council, Eco Warriors, Sports Leaders, Reading Ambassadors amongst others. Each group has a meaningful purpose within school, helping to shape decisions, lead initiatives, support others and represent the views of their peers.
These roles are open to children across different year groups, so that leadership is something every child can grow into over time. Through these opportunities, pupils learn to contribute to our school culture, care for our environment, and make a difference both in and beyond our classrooms.
The document below outlines each of our pupil leadership roles in more detail, including responsibilities, how pupils are supported, and the impact these roles aim to have across our school.
At Woodsetts, we are proud of our young leaders and the positive difference they make every day.
