Huge thanks go to Mr. Bell who completed an 'Iron Man' course of swimming, cycling and running to raise funds for Woodsetts Primary!

Mr. Bell raised an amazing £300 from the event which he has kindly donated to school funds. Thank you once again from us all.

Get Cycling!

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is holding an event in celebration of this year’s Tour de France and Yorkshire Grand Depart passing through our region.

The event takes places on 20th & 21st August 2014 (10am – 3pm) at the Rotherham Leisure Complex and is a FREE event with lots of cycling activities for the whole family. Get Cycling will be providing the activities on the day; they are a community interest company who promote cycling in all its varieties, for leisure, transport, health happiness and the environment.

A short presentation below helps introduces children to cycling, touching on the benefits and history of pedal power.

School Meals Menu

A new menu is now in place from September 2014.

We have introduced a banding system where children have a choice of two hot meals or a grab a bag sandwich.  This it to support the government Universal Free School Meals (UFSM) to provide all children in Foundation Stage 2, year 1 & 2 with a free school meal.

For KS2 children, years 3. 4, 5 & 6 a Primary School Meal currently costs £1.90 per day and £9.50 per week.

Please click on the image on the left to view the current menu.

Many thanks, Woodsetts Primary School

Dinner money should be handed to your child's CLASS TEACHER every MONDAY morning in a NAMED ENVELOPE.

Unfortunately we can not issue change, all money will be carried over to the following week.

From September 2014, UFSM.

School Bookshop

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are excited to inform you of our new school bookshop! This is located in the school reception and offers a range of books to support learning at home. There are SATs style books, fiction and non-fiction books for  readers of all ages (including picture books for emergent readers) as well as phonic books - even a dictionary or bible!

Located on the bookshelf are order forms; please enter your details and book choices and hand in together with the correct payment (cheques made payable to: Woodsetts School Fund).

So if you wish to support your child at home, provide resources for a tutor or wish to buy as gift for a friend or relative, please take a few minutes to browse at your leisure. A list of the available books can be downloaded HERE and an order form is online HERE.

Kind Regards,

David Selwood
