Hello! I'm Mrs Smith, PSCHE and Healthy Schools  Co-ordinator at Woodsetts/Brook Federation. I am also the lead teacher for School Council, JRSO's (Junior Road Safety Officers) and SRE (Sex and Relationships Education) throughout school. In addition, I also am involved in the organisation of events that promote and support childrens' awareness of keeping safe and healthy.

Thanks to everyone's hard work last year, Healthy School's Week was again a tremendous success. We all loved it so much that it will be running again next year in July! Hopefully it will even bigger and even better!

School Council elections have taken place with the first meeting taking place on 2nd October. These will take place monthly on a Monday lunchtime.

Kind regards,

Mrs Smith

 School and Class Council 2017

At Anston Brook we are proud to have pupil representatives that take part in Class and School Council meetings. These councils take place so that pupils have a voice and are involved in decisions about the school that affect them. Through Class Council, all pupils have the opportunity to raise issues, share ideas and take part in discussions that involve all of their class in reaching a democratic solution. Issues that arise at Class Council will be passed on and discussed during School Council meetings, which will take place monthly. Class council officials will be nominated and then voted in by their class mates – they should not be chosen by their teachers. During the first meeting a Chairperson and Secretary will be appointed and they will lead the meetings.

How will Class Council work?

School Council will then discuss the points raised and then decide on what further action needs to take place.
